Record Label
LJ Records was founded in 1989 by Ove Johansson, tenorsax and Sus-
anna Lindeborg, piano to present and record modern Scandinavian im-
provisation music, that is working with acoustical and electro acoustical
means both with conventional instruments as well as fractal manipulated
compositions for computer.
From the beginning the label was founded as a means to present their
own productions internationally, first of all with MWENDO DAWA, but
throughout the years LJ Records has grown and so far presented 50
titles and some on the way with the most significant groups and musici-
ans of Scandinavia and Sweden today. It is music seaking new ground
with personal touch but still with jazz musical tradition as a base. The
label has rapidly grown a very good reputation from several parts of the
world as a small label with a very interesting profile.
